Welcome to the 2020 FACT Legislative Scorecard.
Every election year, Tennesseans want to know how their state legislators have voted on a variety of conservative and pro-family issues because they realize that political candidates sometimes say one thing at election time and then, once elected, vote another way. That’s why we offer scorecards.
Our online incumbent scorecard compiles the significant votes on state legislation affecting family values that FACT monitored helping provide context surrounding voting records and allowing you to compare your issue positions to those of your legislators.
We’ve aggregated this publicly available candidate data into an easy-to-use digital platform so you don't have to go looking for it! Each online scorecard contains the voting record of all current legislators, both those in the state House and those in the state Senate. See how overall voting records align with your values or browse individual profiles for district information, detailed voting records, and more in-depth explanations of the bills covered.
While FACT supported the Rule of Law Life Act to prohibit abortion, the Republican leadership in the Senate would only consider the governor’s multi-step proposal for banning abortion. Consequently, we scored a vote for the governor’s proposal positively.
Scores should not be taken as a comment or a reflection of the legislator’s worldview. Scores are also not an endorsement.
